Celtic Cross Education FAQs – June 2022
What is happening?
The decision has been made to close Celtic Cross Education as a trust, and for our schools to join three separate trusts in the region at the beginning of the new academic year in September 2022. While this is not a decision we have taken lightly, we believe it is the best possible course of action to ensure the continued success of our individual schools.
How were these trusts chosen?
Each of these trusts – The Rainbow Multi-Academy Trust, St Barnabas Multi-Academy Trust and the Learning Academy Partnership – were chosen due to the values we share, their positive impact in their local areas, and their ability to provide both staff and pupils with a high-quality network of support. As a result, we are confident Celtic Cross Education’s schools will be made to feel extremely welcome and are with trusts which are best placed to support their ongoing success.
As you may be aware, Celtic Cross Education’s CEO, Stuart Renshaw, will be retiring at the end of this academic year. With Stuart’s departure came the opportunity to re-evaluate our role as a trust, both in light of the Department for Education’s latest policy on multi-academy trusts, and our own specific regional context, and assess what is best for our schools to ensure they are continuing to provide an excellent standard of education across the region.
